About the W.F.P.D.
The Wappingers Falls Police Department has a staff of full time and part-time police officers, including two Detective/Patrol Officers, Youth Officers, Patrol Sergeants and a Police Commissioner. The Communications Unit has a staff of Police Assistants, including one Senior Police Assistant.
Although we are considered a small agency, we offer 24/7/365 professional police services to the residents and businesses in the Village of Wappingers Falls. In addition to offering patrol and investigative services we offer community programs that include Child Passenger Safety Inspections, Fingerprinting for licenses and employment, Medication Drop Box, Youth Services Unit, Senior Watch Program, Citizen Response to Active Shooter Courses, Nixle Emergency Notifications, Hope Not Handcuffs, and a Neighborhood Traffic Safety Unit.
